Alcee J. "Chip" Breaux

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Alcee J. “Chip” Breaux, 89, who passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023.  Deacon Ken Soignier will conduct the services.  Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.

Visitation hours will be observed on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 p.m.

Alcee is survived by his wife of 68 years, Janelle H. Breaux;  six daughters, Benette Thibodeaux (Mickey), Rebecca B. Saltamachia, Veronica "Susie" Breaux, Michelle LeBlanc (Darrell), Monique Breaux, and Melanie Breaux;  eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michel and Elia Breaux;  two brothers, Bennett Breaux, and Antoine Breaux;  and three sisters, May Robert, Rena LeBlanc, and Inez Duhon.

Alcee was employed by Doug Ashy for 47 years.  In his free time he enjoyed golf, bowling, and vacationing at the beach with his family.
