Amy Solice

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Amy Lynn Solice, 26, who passed away August 2, 2018 in Orlando, Fla. Father Gary Schexnayder will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Logan Scott Solice; parents, Marile Camille Bourque Guidry and Dwayne P.D. Guidry; sister Leah Rae Guidry; one half brother, Nelson Bourque; four aunts, Sandra (Judy) Guidry, Victoria Breaux, Dana (Lloyd) Aucoin, and Tina Savoie; three uncles, Ronald (Vee) Guidry, David "Polcey" (Kathy) Guidry III, and Greg Breaux; her godfather, Wayne Quebedeaux; and a host of cousins and friends who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her sister Stacey Lynn Guidry; two aunts, Linda Guidry Thibodeaux and Dahlonaga Drouet; one uncle, Richard (Uncle Gut) Guidry; and grandparents, David Guidry, Edmae Matruin Guidry, and Carmen Guidry.
Amy was born on September 5, 1991. She was a 2009 graduate of Lafayette High School.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Quebedeaux, Lloyd S. Aucoin Jr., Dustin Quebedeaux, Carl Stelly, Ryan Thibodeaux, and Michael Quebedeaux.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm, and resume Thursday morning at 8:00 am until services. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank her parrain Wayne Quebedeaux for going above and beyond the call of duty.
