Angie Boudreaux

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Angie Boudreaux, 57, who passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021.   Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate the ceremony.

Visitation hours will be observed at Walters Funeral Home on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 5:00 p.m.  A rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m.

Angie is survived by her husband of 40 years, L.J. Boudreaux of Breaux Bridge;  one daughter, Chantel Poche and her husband Scotty of Breaux Bridge;  one son, Jeau Boudreaux of Breaux Bridge;  two sisters, Joddy Womack and her husband Jimmy of Grand Coteau,  and Taffy Veron and her husband John “Bubba” of Scott;  one brother, Ty Hanes of New Orleans;  two grandchildren, Kenley Poche and Jase Poche;  and her mother-in-law, Josie Boudreaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel “Greenie” and Robert Hanes;  one sister, Scherry Veron;  her brother-in-law, Randy “Rock” Veron;  and her godchild, Rachel Huggins.

Angie served as a mail carrier in the town of Cankton for over 20 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her two dogs, Sirr and Ma’am,  gardening, being outdoors, walking in the woods, painting, cooking, baking, and being with her grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as “Mamie.”

Pallbearers will be L.J. Boudreaux, Jeau Boudreaux, John Boudreaux, Patrick Meche, Scotty Poche, and Jimmy Womack.  Honorary pallbearer is Jase Poche.
