Audrey Andrus

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Audrey Mae Andrus, 75, who passed away November 18, 2021. Monsignor Ron Broussard, pastor of the Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Lectors will be Bert Hebert Van Dyke and Tonja Sias. Interment will follow the service in the Our Lady of the Assumption Cemetery in Carencro.
Survivors include her children, Keyna Andrus of Lafayette, Nathan (Samantha) Andrus of Marrero, Shon (Diana) Andrus of Bossier City, Laquin (Shannon) Andrus of Bluffton, SC, and Trever Banks of Chicago, IL; four sisters, Velma Lilly of Carencro, Anna Joseph of Carencro, Linda Jean Batiste of Carencro, and Regina Zenon of Breaux Bridge; four brothers, Calvin Thibodeaux of Carencro, Dallas Thibodeaux of Kansas City, MO, Dennis Thibodeaux of Carencro, and Randy Zenon of Breaux Bridge; twelve grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maydell and Howard Thibodeaux Sr.; two brothers, Howard Thibodeaux Jr. and Eugene Thibodeaux; and one sister, Mona Zenon.
Audrey was a native of Lafayette and lived here all her life. She was employed in the Medical Records Department of University Medical Center for 18 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and sharing her treats with family and friends.
Active Pallbearers will be Nigel Davis, Zion Andrus, Kelby Webster, Sr., Kaswana Davis, J'ana Andrus, and Junavion Sias. Honorary pallbearers include Blair Andrus, Justin Andrus, Glen Thibodeaux, Martin Hebert, Milton Martin, Jr., Joseph Williams, Jr., Eric Porter, and Oleus Chevalier.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Saturday morning prior to the service from 8:00 am - 11:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am.
