Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Audrey Bacque Daigle, 93, who passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Mr. Michael Phillip Vogel, grandson of Mrs. Daigle, will officiate the ceremony and conduct graveside services. Ramona Carmichael will perform a musical selection during the ceremony. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Audrey was survived by two daughters, Melissa Vogel of Spring, TX, and Gizelle Schexnayder and her husband Randy of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Michael Phillip Vogel, Whitney Daigle and her partner Daisy, Tonya Hoback and her husband James, Brittany Cole and her husband Jon, Casey Schexnayder and his wife Sarah, and Randy Schexnayder, II; and four great-grandchildren, Scotty Hoback, William Schexnayder, Everett Cole, and Casey Schexnayder, II.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Whitney Daigle; her parents, Hortense and Cornelius Bacque; her sister, Grace Bedford; her brother, Ray Bacque; and one son-in-law, Peter Vogel.
Audrey was a member of the Ladies Rosary Prayer Group, and in her free time she enjoyed cooking, reading, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
Visitation hours will be observed on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and resume on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be prayed on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Jon Cole, James Hoback, Scott Morgan, Casey Schexnayder, Randy Schexnayder II, and Michael Phillip Vogel.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregiver of many years, Janelle Courville, for her time, love, and dedication, Nellie Arabie for helping in the last few days of her life, and St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House.
