Billie Parker

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Billie Yvonne Parker, who passed away peacefully May 14, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.  She was 77 years old. Reverend Chad Thibodeaux, pastor of Vatican Baptist Church of Carencro will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Evangeline Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include two daughters, Rose Marie Parker of Carencro and Lisa Marie Turbaville and her husband Eric of Farmington, NH; two granddaughters, Jessica and Christina Crandall, and dear friend and caregiver, Alaine Martin.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas David Wells, mother, Beatrice Ella Woelfel,  and maternal grandparents, Faith and William Toombs.

Billie was a native of Sullivan, Indiana and resident of Carencro for the past 10 years. She was a teacher at The Little Angels Christian Learning Center and enjoyed teaching children. She loved children, and was a foster parent of 26 children in 12 years. In her free time she enjoyed meeting new people, gardening, and painting. She will be missed by all who met her.

The family requests that visitation hours be observed from 2:00 - 9:00 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2013 and resume Thursday morning at 8:00 am until time of service.
