Bryan J. Espree

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Bryan J. Espree, 74, who passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Pastor Shelton Clay will officiate the ceremony. Interment will take place at a later date. 

Visitation hours will be observed at Walters Funeral Home on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. 

Bryan is survived by his wife, Mathilda Espree of Lafayette; one son, Howard Hebert, Jr. (Rochelle Murphy) of Houston; two sisters, Myra Espree and Trennie Espree; one brother, Juda Espree (Wanetta); five grandchildren, Tiya L. Hebert, Tyrik Hebert, Howard Hebert III, Kenyon Hebert, and Iyanna Murphy; two sisters-in-law, Roxanne Hall (Willie), and Theresa George (Alvin); and his special nephew, Button.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Sidney Espree; and one brother, Travis Espree.

Bryan was a sports fan, sports was his passion. He will be greatly missed.
