Carrol was a native of St. Martinville and resident of Lafayette for most of his life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was a devout Catholic that prayed the rosary daily. He worked as milk deliveryman, and later as a barber.
He loved spending time with his family, and had a quick wit about him. He enjoyed being the greeter at Courtyard Retirement Assisted Living for many years. The nurses and staff at Courtyard became like family to him, and Carrol's family appreciates all the care, love, and compassion shown to him over the years.
The family would also like to thank the team at Community Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and care shown during his time of need.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, and honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandsons.
