A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church of Youngsville for Charles Anthony Pichoff, 82, who passed away August 13, 2024. His ashes will later be interred in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Connie Pichoff; three sons, Stephen Pichoff and spouse Laura Ashton, Edwin Pichoff, III and spouse Cindy Pichoff, and Joseph Pichoff and spouse Stacy Pichoff; one brother, Darrel Pichoff; six grandchildren, Justin, Kari, Sebashton, Brennan, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, and Jenna; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Pichoff, Sr.; mother, Mae Hamm; step-father, Charles Hamm; brothers, Edwin Pichoff, Jr., Morris Pichoff, and Ralph Pichoff; and sisters, Carol Pichoff, and Linda Simoneaux.
Charles was born in Glencoe, LA. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. During his time in the Air Force, he worked as a Medical Lab Technologist, which carried over to civilian life as well. Upon retiring from law enforcement, he became an insurance salesperson.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lafayette, Disabled American Veterans, Free and Accepted Mason, Franklin Lodge #57, American Legion Post #63 and the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
Charles requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to his favorite charities: St. Jude Children's Research Center, Gideon's International, Fellowship of Christians and Jews and Feed the Children.
