Charles R. Taylor

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 1:30 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Charles R. Taylor, 90, who passed away January 13, 2025. Pastor Chad E. Nora of Progressive Baptist Church will conduct the funeral services. Interment will follow the services in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. 

Survivors include his children, Catherine (Carl) Creduer of Church Point and Charles R. Taylor of CO; one sister, Barbara Bishop of Columbus, MS; and two granddaughters, Lana Breaux of Church Point and Marae Creduer of Mire.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Celestine Gallien Taylor; parents, Lillie Mae and Alford Taylor; two brothers, Clarence and Levern Taylor; and five sisters, Florine Evans, Berteal Butner, Joyce Jack, Alfredia Washington, and Dorothy Taylor.

Charles was a native of Monticello, MS and resident of Church Point for the past three years. He was a member of the United States Air Force, having retired with 20 years of service.

Pallbearers will be Carl Creduer, Blake Breaux, Cade Guidry, Owen Abshire, Mark Patin, and Alton Nero.

The family requests that visitation be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 between the hours of 3:00 - 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume Thursday morning before the services beginning at 8:00 am.

Memorial contributions can be made in Charles' name to the charity of your choice.
