Clarisse LaCombe

October 1, 1939 — February 14, 2016

Lafayette native Clarisse Walters LaCombe, 76, passed away on February 14, 2016 in Houston, Tex. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 19, 2016 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home to honor her memory. Father Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Kristi Trahan and Juanita Delhomme; gift bearers, Olivia and Jacob Coston. Interment will follow the mass in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her daughter, Nicole (Mack) Motty of Houston; three sons, Damon C. (Tammy) LaCombe of Carencro, Bryan S. (Donna) LaCombe of Lafayette and Kyle A. (Michelle) LaCombe of Lafayette; one sister, Sue Ann Dauphin of Lafayette; two brothers, Richard A. Walters of Lafayette and James P. (Cynthia) Walters of Carencro; ten grandchildren, Danielle Coston, Dane LaCombe, Brittyn LaCombe, Gavin LaCombe, Kylie LaCombe, Quaid LaCombe, Natalie LaCombe, Zack LaCombe, Mackie Motty and McKenna Motty; and three great-grandchildren, Olivia Coston, Jacob Coston, and Adam LaCombe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam LaCombe, Jr.; her parents, the former Felicie Girouard and Alfred J. Walters, Sr.; two sisters, Hortense Walters and Annette Blanchet; and seven brothers, Huey P. Walters, Clay J. Walters, Sr., A. J. Walters, Jr., Leonard J. Walters, Roland P. Walters, Billy Walters, and Daniel Walters, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Murphy Delhomme, Gavin LaCombe, Billy Gary, Ross Coston, David Boutin, and Lonnie Latiolais. Honorary pallbearers include Richard A. Walters, Jimmy Walters, Zack LaCombe and Quaid LaCombe.
The family requests that visitation be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 10:00 am - 9:00 pm, and resume Friday morning from 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be led by Wanda Goulas at 7:00 pm on Thursday evening. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St. Ste. 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
