A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Claude Lee “Karen” McKague Hebert, 84, of Youngsville, Louisiana, who died peacefully on December 22, 2018. Father William Schambough, pastor of St. Joseph Church in Milton, will officiate the services.
Karen was born October 21, 1934, in Jennings, Louisiana.
She is predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Claude Lee McKague; her husband, Andre’ Roland Hebert; and one son, Douglas Hebert.
Karen was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, Louisiana. She was a member of the St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society, Golden Age Club, and throughout the years was a dedicated member of MADD and one of the early members of the Save the Horse Farm organization. Karen was known for her incredible memory, generosity, and desire to help others.
Survivors include her four children, Claudette Landry (Ronnie), Andre’ Hebert (Susan), Laurent Hebert (Peggy), and Marcel Hebert (Brandi); eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
Visiting hours will take place Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m., led by the St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society. Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana.
