Cody Cormier

Funeral services will be held in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home on Thursday, September 16 at 11 a.m. for Cody James Cormier, 39, who passed away at the University Medical Center on September 13, 2010. The Reverend Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, will conduct the services.
Pallbearers will be Jacque Cormier, Joey Bourque, Ryan Cormier, Donald Vincent, II, and Todd Cormier.
Interment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Cynthia Vincent, soloist will sing _Amazing Grace,_ _In the Garden,_ and _On Eagles Wings._
The family requests that visitation be held on Wednesday from 4-9 p.m., and resume again Thursday morning at 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Cody is survived by his wife Dawn V. Cormier; one daughter Jacie Cormier; one son Jacque Cormier, all of Scott; his mother Phyllis Ann Sales and her husband Johnny of Lafayette; his father Rodney _T-Boy_ Cormier and wife Brenda of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his sister Angela Ann Cormier and her husband Joey Bourque of Lafayette; and his brother Ryan Cormier and his wife Miranda of Tacoma, WA.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A native of Lafayette and resident of Scott for 20 years, Cody worked as a dispatcher for Acadiana Crew Change. He was a member of the Acadiana Plastic Modelers Association.
