Daniel J. Castille, Sr.

Funeral services will be held in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. for Daniel J. Castille, Sr., 48, who passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023.  Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate the ceremony.

Visitation hours will be observed on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.  A rosary will be prayed on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., led by Esther Castille.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Patti Castille of Lafayette;  one son, Daniel J. Castille, Jr. of Lafayette;  two step-daughters, Brittany Blanchard of Eunice, and Marie Blanchard of Duson;  one step-son, Gregory Blanchard of Duson;  his mother, Helen Mae Gaudet Castille of Lafayette;  two brothers, John N. Castille of Lafayette, and David C. Castille, Sr. of Broussard;  six grandchildren, Jada Guidry, Jana Winburn, Elleanor Wilson, Ethaniel Wilson, Jesse Guidry, and Jaxon Guidry;  two nieces, Nicole Castille (Blake), and Danielle Castille;  two nephews, David C. Castille, Jr., and Christopher S. Castille;  and two great-nephews, Dorian Landry and C.J. Castille.

He is preceded in death by his father, Wilbert C. Castille;  his second wife, Pamela H. Castille;  the mother of his son, Dana R. Turner;  his godmother, Gail Desormeaux;  and his sister-in-law, Regina Castille.

Daniel loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.  He enjoyed playing video games and being around family.
