David Kinder

David Kinder, husband, father, and friend, passed from this life to the next on January 24, 2022. A celebration of his life will be Friday, January 28, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, with the gathering of friends beginning at 11:00 am; and memorial service starting at 1:00 pm. The Rev. Canon John Bedingfield of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana will officiate the service.

In true Dave fashion, the family is requesting that tie dye be worn.

Left on this side of the looking glass to cherish his memories in this life are his wife, Lesley Deshotels; daughter, Lily Deshotels; brothers, Michael Kinder and his wife Kim, and Daniel Kinder and his wife Barbara; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He joins his parents, step father, and a myriad of furry family members who’ve already made it to the other side.

We remind you of one of his favorite quotes: “We’re all mad here”.

Mental health is important. If you or someone you know needs help, please be aware and take action.  We will miss him.

Love for each other, love for animals and love of education were of the utmost importance to David. In his honor, be kind to others, and, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either Episcopal School of Acadiana or to Acadiana Animal Aid in his name for a more permanent impact.
