Dorothy Dawson Lingo died July 22, 2013 at Regional Hospital of Acadiana in Lafayette, LA. Born Jan. 31, 1924 in Arkansas she was the daughter of the late Mabel and John Dawson of N. Little Rock, ARK. Finishing at N. Little Rock High she went on to play shortstop in the women's amateur fast pitch softball league for the famous Hazel Walker.
Miss Dottie, as she was know by, loved bridge. As a previous owner of the race horse John Henry she always enjoyed the race track.
Miss Dottie is survived by two children, a grandchild, a great grandchild and a brother.
