A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Douglas W. Hebert, 33, who passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile crash. The Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will officiate the ceremony. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, LA.
Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Claire Hebert of Youngsville, LA; his mother, Karen McKague Hebert of Youngsville, LA; his girlfriend, Tiffany Young of Lafayette, LA; one sister, Claudette Landry (Ronnie) of Youngsville, LA; three brothers, Andre’ Hebert, Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC, Laurent Hebert (Peggy) of Lytle, TX, and Marcel Hebert (Cindy) of Kannapolis, NC; the mother of his daughter, Heidi B. Hebert; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Andre’ Roland Hebert, Sr.
Douglas’ compassionate heart was seen through his love for his precious child Elizabeth. Through Elizabeth, Douglas was able to show pride, joy and unconditional love. He was a proud, lifetime member of the NRA, and a very passionate fan of the New Orleans Saints.
Visitation hours will be observed on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be said on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
