Earline Guidry

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Earline Guidry, 75, who passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021.  Father Dan Edwards, Pastor at St. Jules Catholic Church in Lafayette, will officiate the ceremony.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at Walters Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and will resume on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.  A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Earline is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Guidry Wright and her husband Brett of Lafayette;  two sons, Bryan Anthony Guidry and his wife Kathy of Lafayette,  and Kevin James Guidry and his wife Samantha of Youngsville;  six grandchildren, Lauren Riche and her husband Seth, Barrett Guidry, Courtney Wright, Amber Wright, Caroline Guidry, and Camille Guidry;  one great-grandson, Liam Riche;  one brother, Gerald Menard and his wife Jackie of Scott;  and one brother-in-law, Lionel Cormier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Levence Guidry;  her parents, Adolphina and Wilson Menard;  one brother, Nelson Menard;  one sister, Anna Jean Cormier;  and one sister-in-law, Georgia Menard.

Earline enjoyed life, drinking coffee with her friends and neighbors, watching television, and spending time with her family.

Pallbearers are Dwayne Cormier, Lionel Cormier, Tyson DeMahy, Austin Guidry, Barrett Guidry, and Jeremy Menard.  Honorary Pallbearers are Drew Dannennberg, Gerald Menard, and Brett Wright.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Our Lady of Lourdes third floor Progressive Care Unit for their kindness, compassion, and exceptional care.
