Eva Dean Broussard

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Eva Broussard, 83, who passed away June 19, 2024. Deacon Art Bakeler will conduct the funeral services. Lector will be her granddaughter, Jessica Hernandez. Interment will follow the services in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in Broussard. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of service. 

Survivors include two sisters, Patsy Jenkins of Houston and Jodie Roger of Lafayette; three granddaughters, Jessica Hernandez of Broussard, Hannah Hernandez of Youngsville, and Stephanie Lalonde of Carencro; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elsie Roger; her two sons, Ted and Rickey Hernandez; brother and sister-in-law, Viola Marie and Presley Rogers; and sister, Linda Domingue.

Eva was a native of Lafayette. She loved to garden and enjoyed seeing butterflies flying through her flowers. She played an active role in the Omelet Festival of Abbeville, and enjoyed traveling.
