Florence Touchet

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 4:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Florence M. Touchet, 75, who passed away November 9, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Father Brian Taylor, pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will officiate the mass and conduct the funeral services. Private inurnment services will be held at a later date.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Tabb of Lafayette; two sons, Wilbert  Tabb, Jr.of Greenville, NC and Roger D. Tabb of Rayne; two sisters, Mabel Vallot of Youngsville and Helen Haines of Broussard; two brothers, Lauris Touchet of Lafayette and Lennis Touchet of Carencro; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Minus and Anna Touchet; one son, Steve W. Tabb, Sr.; two brothers, Minus "Pee Wee" Touchet, Jr. and George Lee Touchet; three sisters, Dorothy Decou, Gladys Duhon, and Jessie Hill; and the father of her children, Wilbert Tabb, Sr.

Ms. Touchet was a native of Milton and resided in Lafayette for most of her life.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Tabb, Brady Tabb, Jared Tabb, Ryan D. Tabb, Randall Tabb, and Steve W. Tabb, Jr.

The family requests that visitation be held Wednesday from 9:00 am until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am.
