Geneva H. Hebert

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Geneva H. Hebert, 90, who passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.  Deacon Keith Hebert will officiate the ceremony.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.

Visitation hours will be observed on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.

Geneva is survived by three daughters, Cindi Reedy and her husband Mike of Mobile, AL,  Eva Marie Vincent of Houston, TX,  and Lisa Rene’ Chaisson of Houston, TX;  one son, Joe Chaisson and his wife Kay of Opelousas;  one step-daughter, Pam Migues and her husband Kerry of Lafayette;  three step-sons, Ricky Garrit of Breaux Bridge, Billy Garrit and his wife Christine of Breaux Bridge,  and Carl Hebert and his wife Lisa of Florida;  one sister, Anne Liles of DeRidder;  one brother, Pratt Hayes of Lafayette;  12 grandchildren, Michael Reedy II,  Fallon Reedy, Payton Reedy, Rachel Vincent, Francine Fazackerley and her husband Joe, Allie Chaisson, Anna Chaisson, Andrew Chaisson, Avery Chaisson, Josh Simon, Kaitlyn Bordelon and her husband Hunter, and Donovan Simon;  and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ike Hebert;  her parents, Ralph and Eva Hayes;  one granddaughter, Amber Richard and her husband Roderick;  one brother, Douglas Hayes;  and three sisters, Donna Bell Hebert, Mary Lou Epperly, and Johnnie May Schulman.

Geneva was an active member of Northwood United Methodist Church for many years.  In her free time she enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking.  Along with her husband, Ike, she attended several camping rallies over the years.
