A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Carencro for Grace Mamer, 87, who passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016. Father Mark Ledoux, Pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church, will officiate the funeral ceremony. Interment will take place immediately after the service at St. Peter Cemetery.
Grace is survived by three daughters, Estelle Ledet of Lafayette, Renee Hebert of Lafayette, and Yvette Mamer of Broussard; one son, David Mamer of Lafayette; ten grandchildren, Jeremy Ledet, Nicholas Ledet, Monique Dinges, Claire Broussard, Danielle Ledet, Jacques Hebert, Madeleine Hebert, Emily Hebert, Daniel Broussard, and Adam Broussard; and one brother-in-law,
Charles Mamer of Carencro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mamer; her parents, Estelle and Fernand Bernard; and two sisters, Blanche Bernard and Ruth Ann Mouton.
Grace was a member of the St. Anne Society and the Bonne Morte Society at St. Peter Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and sewing scapulars for the First Communion children for many years.
Pallbearers will be Miguel Alvergue, Adam Broussard, Daniel Broussard, Tre’ Dinges, Jeremy Ledet, and Nicholas Ledet. Honorary pallbearers are Jacques Hebert, Charles Mamer, and David Mamer.
The family requests that visitation hours be observed on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A rosary will be prayed on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
