Iberia Lemoine Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Iberia J. Lemoine Jr., 84, who passed away February 18, 2018. Deacon Ken Soignier will conduct the services. His grandson, David Lemoine Jr., will be the lector for the service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his two children, Barbara L. (Tommy Lee) Smith of Lake Charles and David Joseph (Karen Marque) Lemoine, Sr. of Lafayette; five grandchildren, David J. Lemoine, Jr., Craig J. Spadoni, Jill S. Foster, Laurie Spadoni Friloux, and Marc Peter Spadoni; and six great-grandchildren, Sophia Victoria Spadoni, Ali Nicole Foster, Anna Marie Foster, Abby Lynn Foster, Zachary Friloux,  and Nicholas Friloux.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria Rein LeMoine; his parents, Anna and Iberia J. Lemoine, Sr.; and one sister, Joyce Lemoine Martin.
Mr. Lemoine was born and reared in St. Bernard Parish, and moved to Lafayette after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He honorably served in the United States Navy, and was the owner of the Joe Lemoine Construction Company for 15 years. In his free time, he enjoyed being a member of the  Aeromodelers of Acadiana.
Pallbearers will be David Joseph Lemoine, Jr., Glenn Martin, Gary Marain, and Tommy Smith. Honorary pallbearers include Thomas Friloux, Jeff Rogers, and Chuck Rogers.
The family requests that visitation be held Saturday from 9:00 am until services at Walters Funeral Home.
