James E. Parker

Reflections will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for James E. Parker, 87, who passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023.  Deacon Nelson Schexnayder will lead the service.  Interment will be in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings, LA at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023.

James is survived by his daughter, Rose Marie Parker of Sunset;  one sister, Rachael Case;  and one brother, Luther “Luke” Parker.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Billie Parker;  and his parents, Lucy and John Parker.

James was a member of the United States Navy, and served during the Korean War.  He was employed by the Lafayette Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Postal Service.
