Memorial services will be held January 31, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Jeannette T. Latiolais, 81, who passed away January 23, 2015. Deacon Marcel Hebert will officiate the service. Inurnment will follow the service in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Jeannette is survived by her two daughters, Gwen Jensen and her husband Rene of Lafayette, and Michelle Broussard and her husband Carl of Breaux Bridge; four grandchildren, Byron, Kyle, Brett and Kristen Jensen; three step-great grandchildren, Stacey Broussard, Aaron Reaux and Shayna Reaux; three step great great-grandchildren, Emma Verret, Madison Verret and Dominic Freyou; and Kim Guilbeau, a friend whom she considered and loved as a daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the former Aimee Huval and Antoine Tauzin; her husband, Whitney Latiolais; and four brothers, Sidney, Roy, Dallas and Louis Tauzin.
Jeannette was a native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Lafayette for 63 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Knights of Columbus Council 3202 and the Cajun Rebs Camping Club.
Visitation will begin Saturday morning at 8:30 am, with a rosary led by Brenda Knight at 10:30 am.
The family wishes to extend its special thanks to Jeannette's niece and caregiver, Patsy Chiasson and her family; and Hospice of Acadiana for their loving care.
