Jessica Begnaud

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church for Jessica A. Begnaud, 69, who passed away at her residence on Friday, December 13, 2013 after battling cancer.  Father Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will officiate the funeral ceremony.  Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by two daughters, Hope Girard and her husband Tracy of Carencro, and Kelly Trahan and her husband Shane of Scott;  one son, Scott Labbe’ and his wife Kim of Prairieville;  two sisters, Janell Latiolais and her husband Harry of Carencro, and Cathy Deville and her husband Gary of Opelousas;  one brother, Errol Begnaud and his wife Donna of Carencro;  and six grandchildren, Brant Girard, Bryce Girard, Jordan Labbe’, Zachary Labbe’, Skye Trahan, and Seth Trahan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanne and Raymond Pete Begnaud.
Jessica was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.  She retired from Lafayette Consolidated Government after 33 years of employment.  She enjoyed spending all of her free time with her friends and family, especially her six loving grandchildren.
Visitation hours will be observed on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  A rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
