Joey Thomas Leger

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Joey Thomas Leger, 62, who passed away January 21, 2024 at his residence in Duson. Father Mike Bergeron will conduct the funeral services. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will perform "Amazing Grace", "Shepherd Me, Oh God", "One Bread, One Body", and "I Did It My Way". Interment will follow the services in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. 

Visitation will take place on Thursday before the service between the hours of 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am Thursday morning.

Survivors include his partner of 36 years, John "Tony" Pomier of Duson; his mother, Lorena Alzata Leger of Slocomb, AL; and three brothers, Bobby, Richard, and Michael Leger, all of AL. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Barnis Lamar Leger.

Joey was a native of San Pedro, CA; resident of Dothan AL; and resident of Louisiana for more than 35 years. 

Pallbearers will be Richard Leger, Bobby Leger, Michael Leger, Kurt Leger, Duffy Robicheaux, and R.J. Prejean.
