A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Kenneth W. Stout, 94, who passed away January 24, 2021 at his residence. Father Gil Dutel will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Elizabeth Ladd and Geraldine Rizzuto; gift bearers will be Caroline Bourg and Camille Laiche. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will perform "Amazing Grace", "Shepherd Me, Oh God", "Precious Lord, Take My Hand", "Footprints In The Sand", and "You Are Mine". Interment will be in Gallant Fields, the exclusive veteran's section of Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen "Kaye" Stout of Lafayette; two daughters, Cherie (Ken) Bourg and Jeannie (James) Henderson, all of Lafayette; two sons, Bill Stout of Lafayette and Keith Stout of Athens, Ga.; four grandchildren, Michael Bourg, Michelle Laiche, Christian Broussard, and Elizabeth Ladd; fifteen great-grandchildren; and six great, great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Wilver Stout; and one brother, Phil Stout.
Kenneth was a native of Oklahoma and resident of Lafayette since 1965. He served in WWII in the U.S. Army, and was a retired petroleum landman.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bourg, Christian Broussard, James Henderson, Benjamin Bourg, Barry Laiche, Taylor Laiche.
The family requests that visitation be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 between 2:00 - 5:00 pm, and resume Friday morning at 9:00 am until service time.
