Lena "Annette" Harmon

June 10, 1950 — September 1, 2017

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 4, 2017 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church for Lena “Annette” Harmon, 67, who passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017.   Father Brian Taylor, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will officiate the ceremony.  Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery immediately following church services.

Visitation hours will be observed on Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Walters Funeral Home, and a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

Survivors include one daughter, Felicia Annette Harmon-Moesta and her husband Jason of Friendswood, TX;  one son, Creighton Daniel Harmon and his wife Candice of Scott, LA;  one sister, Melba Barr of Monroe, LA;  two brothers, Rusty Barr and his wife Pam of Oak Ridge, LA,  and Robbie Barr of West Monroe, LA;  and three grandchildren, Grace Thibodeaux, Lori Harmon, and William Moesta.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Anthony Harmon;  her mother, Rosetta Barr;  her father, William Viola;  and two brothers, Carl Daniel Viola and Donald Gene “Bobo” Barr.

Mrs. Harmon was a parishioner at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, and was a member of the  Catholic Daughters of the Americas.  She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her friends and family.

Pallbearers are Al Harmon, Greg Harmon, Mark Harmon, Peter Harmon, Zack Harmon, and Scotty Quebedeaux.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Heart of Hospice, A First Name Basis, and Dr. Bradley Chastant, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Harmon’s family requests that memorial masses be prayed in her name.
