Marietta LaFosse

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Marietta LaFosse, 78, who passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.  Deacon Art Bakeler will officiate the ceremony.

Visitation hours will be observed at Walters Funeral Home on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon at 12:00 p.m.

Marietta is survived by six nieces; one nephew; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lovenia LaFosse; one sister, Cathy Chaisson; and two brothers, David LaFosse and Larry LaFosse.

Marietta was a teacher at Northside High School and Carencro Middle School for many years. In her free time, she was a die-hard LSU fan, football fanatic, and enjoyed golf and fishing.
