Marjorie Armstead

Funeral services will be held in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. for Marjorie Armstead, 79, who passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.  Deacon Michael Morrison will conduct the ceremony.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery immediately following the services.  A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Walters Funeral Home.
Marjorie is survived by two sons, Kareem Armstead of Lafayette, and John Armstead of Arnaudville;  two sisters, Juanita Henry of Houston, TX,  and Dorthy Lee of Lafayette;  one brother, Allen Arceneaux of Lafayette;  and five grandchildren, Deantrae Armstead, Kanye Armstead, Kevin Armstead, Kylon Armstead, and Rhylee Armstead.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralston Armstead;  her parents, Alexson and Antoinette Arceneaux;  one daughter, Monica Renee Armstead;  one brother, Alexander Arceneaux, Jr.;  and two sisters, Gloria Arceneaux and Mabel Johnson.  
In her free time, Marjorie enjoyed cooking, shopping, going to the casino, and spending time with her grandchildren.
