Mary Mouton

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at St. Leo the Great Church for Mary P. Mouton, 72, who passed away April 3, 2017. Monsignor Robie Robichaux, pastor of St. Leo the Great will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lector will be John Bernard; gift bearers, James and Jason Mouton. Interment will follow the mass in Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Roy James Mouton; two sons, James Dennis (Shasta) Mouton and Jason (Melissa) Mouton; one grandson, Brady James (Dawn) Mouton; and two great-granddaughters, Maci Danae and Emma Jay Mouton, all of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the former Cecile Bernard and Ernest Joseph Poche of Lafayette.
Mary was a Lafayette native and resident her whole life. She worked for South Central Bell Telephone Company for 17 years before retiring. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Seton Rosary Group and was passionate about her garden.
Pallbearers will be James Mouton, Jason Mouton, Brady Mouton, John Bernard, Craig Mouton, and Merl Landry.
The family requests that visitation be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 1:00 - 9:00 pm, and resume on Wednesday morning from 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Tuesday evening.
