Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Allen "Joe" Courville of Carencro; one daughter, Rita R. Courville and her fiance G. Palma of Lafayette; two sons, Toby J. Courville and his wife Angela of Baton Rouge, and Evan N. Courville of Carencro; two sisters, Joyce Martinez of Tyler, TX, and Cathy Leger and her husband Leeward of Carencro; two brothers, John Noel and his wife Beth of Carencro, and Ivy Noel of Scott; two grandchildren, Jordyn and Reagan Courville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Evans Noel; and her sister Ruby Reviere.
A resident of Carenco, Melinda was an active parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church, and was a member of the Bonne Mort Society, a 100 year old prayer group that shares in the traditional prayer for the soul. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, and spending time with her friends and family, who admired her free spirit and generosity. She owned Melinda's Hair Loft for 33 years and was an Associate for Mannatech.
