Michael Touchet

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Michael Ward Touchet, 75, who passed away August 10, 2021. Father Howard Blessing will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Daina Gaspard and Barbara Touchet; Karen Broussard will provide the musical selections. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visiting hours will be observed Friday between 11:00 am - 7:00 pm; and resume Saturday morning at 8:00 am until services. Sr. Doris Roy, S.E.C., will lead the rosary on Friday evening at 5:30 pm.
Survivors include his children, Danielle Ann (David) Romero of Abbeville and Sean Michael Touchet of Carencro; one brother, Timothy Charles (Barbara) Touchet of Mire; and two grandchildren, Dillan M. Touchet of Leesville and  Delaney Romero of Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette B. Touchet; parents,  Alberta and Joseph Touchet; and one brother, Patrick James Touchet.
Michael was a native of Gueydan and resident of Carencro for most of his life. He served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked in production in the oil field.
Serving as pallbearers are James Gaspard, Dillan Touchet, Don Kerr, II, Timothy Touchet, Nicholas Touchet, Kevin Touchet, and Jason Touchet.
