Nathan Huval

Catholic funeral services will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Nathan Huval, 82, who passed away April 26, 2017. Deacon Kenneth Soignier will conduct the funeral services; Charly Hawk will be the lector. Interment will follow the services in Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Huval of Lafayette; two daughters, Charlotte (Carroll) Blanchard of New Iberia and Madeline (Greg) Harshberger of Chillicothe, IL; one son, Norris C. Huval (Mindy) of Breaux Bridge; six grandchildren, Danielle Pope, Charly Hawk, Kenneth Pope, Jr., Matthew Harshberger, Elizabeth Harshberger, and Samuel Harshberger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the former Helen Broussard and Aurlien Huval, four brothers, Floyd Huval, Leroy Huval, Francis Huval, and Lloyd Huval; and five sisters, Solonge Le Grand, Annalou Albert, Leena Dupuis, Ireen Hebert, and Estelle Wiltz.
Nathan was a native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Lafayette for 61 years. He was the owner/operator of N.H.S. Electric for 50 years until he retired. He was a founding member of  the Lake Berard Hunting Club and a proud member of the National Rifle Association.
Pallbearers will be Madeline Harshberger, Kenneth Pope Jr., Matthew Harshberger, Carroll Blanchard, Norris Huval, Timothy Hawk. Honorary pallbearers include John Huval, Chris Huval, Kenny Hawk.
The family requests that visitation be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 10:00 am - 10:00 pm, and resume on Monday morning from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed Sunday evening at 7:00 pm.
