A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Seton Church for Patricia S. Vincent, 80, who passed away March 7, 2021 in Missouri City, Tex.
Deacon Nelson Schexnayder will conduct the funeral services. Interment will follow the mass in Highlands Memory Gardens in Lake Charles, La.
Survivors include son, Paul Vincent of Missouri City, Tex.; five sisters, Loretta Guzman, Monica Trahan, Deborah Frazier, Belinda Smith, and Pamela Smith; two brothers, William Smith and Tony Smith; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Emily Vincent of Houston, Tex.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Vincent; and daughter, Stephanie Vincent.
Patricia was a native of Lake Charles and longtime resident of Lafayette. She was a teacher with the Lafayette Parish School System for many years, most recently with J.W. Faulk Elementary prior to retiring. She enjoyed reading and book clubs, and stayed fit by working out at the Lafayette General Wellness Center, where she made good friends and acquaintances.
Patricia was a woman of great faith. She was an active parishioner at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and was a member of the Acorn Drive rosary group. She will be missed for her love, kindness and devotion to her family.
Pallbearers for the service will be Joshua Forman, Kyle Trahan, Derek Stutes, Brett Stutes, Jeffery Doucet, Ryan Pharr, and Jamie Willard.
The family requests that visitation be held Friday, March 12, 2021 between the hours of 4:00 - 8:00 pm. A rosary will be prayed Friday evening at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume Saturday morning at 8:00 am until service time.
