Rachel Robin

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Rachel Robin, 54, who passed away April 2, 2023. Reverend Bud Plake of Crossroads Church will conduct the funeral services. Interment will follow the services in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. 
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm, and resume Thursday morning from 8:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm. 
Survivors include her husband, Donovan Robin of Scott; son, Taylor Hebert and his wife Holly of Scott; brother, Kenneth Guidry of Scott, granddaughter, Peighton Benoit of Scott;  sister-in-law, Taundalaya Robin; and several nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Masil and Ulysse Guidry; and one grandson, Kaycer Hebert.
Rachel was a native of Lafayette and resident of Scott for most of her life. She was employed as a medical authorization specialist at Oschners Lafayette General for 23 years, before moving to Southern Urology, where she made some of her closest friends she could call family. She enjoyed cajun music and played drums for 23 years, and was a member of the American Pool Players Association.
Pallbearers will be Donovan Robin, Taylor Hebert, Jason Wilson, Bryce Aldrich, Douglas Daigle, and Mark Cappiello. Honorary pallbearers include Kenneth Guidry, Jason Richard, and Darrell Robin.
