A resident of Lafayette, Rena was a member of St. Genevieve Catholic Church and was known to many as a spiritual healer. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. She was a loving and kind person with a beautiful smile and a caring heart who will be missed by many.
Survivors include her three daughters, Florence Lalande and her husband Dale, Lois Pellerin Melancon and her husband Ralph, Alice Pellerin Dugas; ten grandchildren, Kevin and Keith Melancon; Kathleen Champagne; Paul, Laura, Rachel, and Ann Pellerin; Dwayne, Chad, and Dwan Lalande; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Joseph Pellerin, her parents, Edith and Herbert Roche, and son, Melvin J. Pellerin.
