Mr. Morvant leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 54 years, and best friend, Frances B. Morvant; two daughters, Melanie M. Vallot, and Geralyn M. Vincent and her husband Timmy (whom he also loved like a son); four grandchildren, CTNC Joshua Vallot and wife Kate, Michelle LeDoux and husband Mike, Lindsey Vallot, and Brandi Vincent; great grand-daughters Gabrielle Vallot and Cora LeDoux; one great grandson, Colton LeDoux; one sister, Anna McCasland; one sister-in-law, Ethel Morvant; one brother-in-law, A.D. Broussard, Jr. and wife Anita; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Mike Bonin.

He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Tammie Louise Morvant; his parents, Leopaul and Lillie Mae Bernard Morvant; one brother, George Morvant; a very special aunt, Laure Bernard; and one son-in-law, Larry Vallot.

Born on September 22, 1932, Mr. Morvant was a lifelong resident of Broussard. He graduated from St. Cecilia High School, and was employed by O_Neal Steel Company for over 30 years. He also worked for Mashburn Machine Shop until his retirement. He served in the United States Navy, and was a part of the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Morvant always enjoyed cutting his grass, and in his later years enjoyed patrolling the neighborhood in his golf cart. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved Sunday breakfast with his family, whom he loved so much. He will be greatly missed.
