A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Holy Cross Catholic Church for Rowena Blanchard, 100, who passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017. Father Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church, will officiate the ceremony.
Rowena is survived by one daughter, Phobe Gaudet and her husband Ralph of Lafayette; one sister, Corrine Boudreaux of Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Laurent Blanchard; her parents, Alozia and Galbert Landry; and two brothers.
A native of Broussard and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Rowena was a beautician and florist in Lafayette for many years.
