Roy Matthieu

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church for Roy Matthieu, 79, who passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda Matthieu;  two sons, Micheal Matthieu of Scott,  and Mitchell Matthieu and his wife Bridget of Eunice;  two grandchildren, Desiree Olivier and Dustin Olivier;  and two great-grandchildren, Abagail and Logan Olivier

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorinez and Emick Matthieu.

A native of Lafayette Parish and resident of Scott for most of his life, Roy served in the United States Air Force.  He retired from the State of Louisiana as an Engineering Aid in the Transportation Department.
