Scotty Quebedeaux

Scotty James Quebedeaux, beloved husband, dad, son, brother, and pawpaw, passed away on January 31, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was 50 years young.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home. Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate the service. Ashley Payge Begnaud will be the lector; and Ashley Conway will deliver the eulogy.

Visiting hours will begin Saturday morning at 9:00 am and continue until the time of service. A rosary will be led by Sr. Doris Roy, S.E.C. at 12:00 pm.

Scotty is survived by his wife Melissa Quebedeaux of Scott; his parents, Annie and Larry Quebedeaux of Arnaudville; one daughter, Ashley Payge Begnaud and her husband Beau Begnaud of Cankton; three step-children, Ashley Conway of Lafayette, Chestin Conway and his fiancee Ashley Bentivegna of Lafayette, and Jacob Halford of Scott; one brother, Coby Dean Quebedeaux; and three grandchildren, Ryan James Theriot, Richard Cole Begnaud, and Micah Conway.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Audree Leigh Begnaud.

Scotty was born in Breaux Bridge and lived in Scott, La. He loved being in nature and was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing, hiking, and riding his four-wheeler was how he enjoyed his free time. He collected knives, and was also a talented bladesmith, making unique, custom knives for friends and family. He will be missed by his family and his adoring pug, Lulu.

Serving as pallbearers are Chase Theriot, Larry Quebedeaux, Coby Quebedeaux, Chestin Conway, Jacob Halford, Beau Begnaud, Chris Artigue, and Creighton Harmon. Honorary pallbearer is Harry Thomas, Scotty's brother-in-law.

Sincere appreciation is extended to Hospice of Acadiana for their excellent care of Scotty and their compassion shown to the whole family.
