A private remembrance ceremony will be held at a later date for Shirley Roberts Atchison, 79, who passed away December 1, 2014 at The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.
Survivors include her four daughters, Carolyn Atchison of Avery Island, Patricia Authement of Lafayette, Judy Killgore of San Angelo, TX, and Sarah Atchison of Alexandria; two sons, John Atchison of Pineville and Charles Atchison of Alexandria; two sisters, Bonnie Gatlin of Alexandria and Betty Woodall of Shreveport; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Atchison; her parents, Ola and Jodie L. Roberts; one brother, Jodie Lincoln Roberts; and one sister, Mary Lee Williams.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Shirley's name to St. Jude Hospital for Children, www.stjude.org.
