Silvana Bourg

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton for Silvana Bourg, 75, who passed away September 11, 2021 while visiting her son in San Antonio, Tex. Father William Schambourgh will be the Celebrant of the funeral mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Leo Bourg and Linda Randolph; gift bearers will be Peyton Bourg, Alexis Favaloro, and Cannon Hubert. Musical selections will be "Ave Maria," "On Angels Wings," "Hallelujah," "Amazing Grace," and "Everybody's Got A Nonna." Interment will follow mass in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Rudolph "Rudy" Bourg Sr. of Youngsville; her children, Mary (George) Favaloro of Youngsville and Rudy (Meloyne) Bourg Jr. of Midland, Tex.; her sister, Alesandra Wellponder; her brother, Sergo Forner; and six grandchildren, MacKenzie Bourg, Peyton Bourg, Alexis Favaloro, Zachary Favaloro, Lucas Favaloro, and Cannon Hubert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luigi Veneri and Bruna Forner; and one brother, Marco Veneri.
Silvana was a native of Verona, Italy, and a longtime resident of the Lafayette/Youngsville area. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 241, Veterans of Foreign Wars Unit 922, and St. Ann's Society.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Bourg Jr., MacKenzie Bourg, Peyton Bourg, Zachary Favaloro, Lucas Favaloro, and George Favaloro. Honorary pallbearers include Alexis Favaloro, and Cannon Hubert.
The family requests that visitation be held Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm, and resume Monday morning at 8:00 - 10:00 am at Walters Funeral Home. A rosary will be led by Father Mike Chapman Sunday evening at 6:00 pm at Walters Funeral Home.
