Sue Dauphin

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Sue Ann Dauphin, 88, who passed away June 4, 2018 at Magnolia Estates Nursing Home. Father Gary Schexnayder will conduct the services. Kristy Lynn Trahan will be the lector. Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Rickey) Cormier of Carencro; four sons, Allen "Rusty" (Jena) Dauphin, Jr. of Austin, Tex., John G. (Kathy) Dauphin of Carencro,  Scott C. (Denise) Dauphin, Sr. of Youngsville, and David Dauphin of Carencro; one brother, Jimmy Walters of Carencro; twelve grandchildren, and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen J. Dauphin, Sr.; her parents, Felecie G. and Alfred Joseph Walters; eight brothers, and three sisters.
Sue was a native of Lafayette and resident of Carencro for the past ten years. She was employed by Hamilton Medical Group/Dr. Charles and Adrien Stewart for many years.
Pallbearers will be Scott "Charlie" Dauphin Jr., Beau Dauphin, Allen "Bubba" Dauphin III, Lukas Dauphin, Dustin Cormier, Jason Arabie, Ryan Trahan, and Blake Kinkaid. Honorary pallbearers include her four sons, Rusty, John, Scott and David; and her son-in-law, Rickey.
The family requests that visitation be held Friday afternoon from 1:00-9:00 pm, and resume Saturday morning at 8:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be led by Carroll Guidry at 6:30 pm on Friday evening.
