Thomas "Ryan" Mier

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 16, 2021 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Thomas "Ryan" Mier, 45, who passed away October 8, 2021 at his residence.
Father Steve LeBlanc will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Vanessa Knott and Nicole Dorn Arceneaux; eulogy will be given by Jimmy Steinocher. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Survivors include his father, Thomas Russell Mier of Lafayette; mother, Kathy Dorsey and her husband Don of Carencro; sisters, Kimberly Higgins and her husband Kevin of Houston and Alicia Prudhomme of Lafayette; brother, Ronnie Prudhomme II and his wife Shirley of Lafayette; maternal grandmother, Margaret Anderson of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William F. Anderson; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Mier.
Ryan was a native and lifetime resident of Lafayette. He was a member of the United States Army, serving two tours in Iraq before being honorably discharged under 100% disability.
Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie Prudhomme II, Michael Steinocher, Oliver Hammond, Cooper Hammond, Payton Prudhomme, and Jimmy Steinocher.
