Velta Courville

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Velta Marie Courville , 72, who passed away March 7, 2022 at her residence. Pastor Kerry Doucet of Crossway Fellowship Church in Crowley will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband Harold Courville of Lafayette, and was preceded in death by her parents and step-father.
Visitation will take place at Walters Funeral Home on Friday, March 11 between the hours of 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, and resume Saturday morning at 9:00 am until service.
Pallbearers will be Chad Courville, Nelson Courville, Kevin Courville, Ronald Courville, Daniel Miller and Dave Trahan. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Gamache and Randall Henley.
Velta was a native of Crowley and resident of Lafayette. She enjoyed working with ceramics, and loved all things Elvis. She was the secretary at A. Bryan's Jewelry for a number of years prior to her retirement.
