Victoria Lemoine

A 2:00 p.m. Communion Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Victoria Julia Rein Lemoine, 75, who passed away on May 5, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Interment will directly follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette, LA.
Victoria was born in New Orleans on March 9, 1936 to the late Conrad Adam Rein and Victoria Sciambra Rein. She was married to Iberia Joseph Lemoine for 56 years, and lived in New Orleans and Chalmette for most of her life. Most recently, she was a resident of Lafayette, LA. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from St. Mary's Dominican College, and taught in St. Bernard schools for 30 years.
Victoria is survived by her husband, Iberia Joseph Lemoine; one daughter, Barbara Lynn Lemoine; one son, David Joseph Lemoine, Sr. and his wife Karen Marque; three sisters, Beverly Rein Schroeder, Carolyn Rein Maiorana and her husband Jerome Henry, and Margaret Rein Rogers and her husband Charles Joseph; five grandchildren, David Joseph Lemoine, Jr., Laurie Spadoni Friloux, Jill Spadoni Foster, Craig Joseph Spadoni, and Marc Peter Spadoni; six great-grandchildren, Sophia Spadoni, Ali, Anna and Abby Foster, and Zachary and Nicholas Friloux; one sister-in-law, Joyce Lemoine Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother in law, William Jennings Schroeder.
