A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Grand Coteau, 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011 for Willie Charles Etienne, 55, who passed away on May 28, 2011. Reverend James L. Lambert, S.J., pastor of St. Charles Borromeo, will conduct the funeral services. Rena Boudreaux, soloist, will sing, "Amazing Grace," "Walk Around Heaven," "The Lord Is My Shepherd," "Troubles of the World," and "Going Up Yonder."

Survivors include his wife Roxanne Etienne of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Jennifer Etienne-Neal (Delvin); two sons, Delvin C. Etienne and Carlos D. Etienne; two sisters, Grace Bean (Jerry) and Mary Robertson Wheeler (Irman), and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alvertha Guient and Willie Etienne, Sr.; two brothers, Edward Etienne and Wilfred Etienne; and one sister, Gloria Burton.

Willie was a native of Sunset, Louisiana and resident of Houston for 32 years. He graduated from Sunset High School and served in the United States Army.

Pallbearers are Delvin C. Etienne, Michael Burton, Jeremy Robertson, Edward Etienne, Jr., Jerry Bean, Jr., and Eugene Etienne.

The family requests that visitation hours be observed on Friday, June 10 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
