Wyman McFillen

Funeral services will be held at Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Wyman E. McFillen, 90, who passed away April 20, 2021. Reverend Bert Langley will conduct the funeral services. Graveside services will take place in Highland Memorial Gardens in Lake Charles, La. at 12:30 pm.
Visitation will take place Saturday morning from 8:30 am until the time of service.
Survivors include his nephew Terry McFillen and his wife Alice of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Patricia Starcher, and his parents, Gertrude and John Henry McFillen.
Wyman lived a full and enjoyable life. He was born in Many, La. on June 6, 1930 and joined the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning home, he worked in the oil and gas industry in sales. As a side job, Wyman stocked and serviced vending machines. This side job became full-time however, and he sold his business after 20 years.
In retirement he traveled to Tennessee, and was offered a job at Dollywood in the vending machine maintenance department. He worked there for a few years and enjoyed his time spent at the theme park. He will be missed by all who knew him.
